As you may know, we lost one of our founding members, Pastor C. Scott Robinson, on Wednesday after a valiant battle with cancer.
For years, Pastor Scott spread the message of unity & equality throughout Garrett County.
He led seminars and gatherings on diversity & tolerance, opening many of our eyes to local historical and ongoing racial injustices. Pastor Scott encouraged us to share our personal experiences, expand our knowledge, and volunteer our time & talents to help strengthen and improve our community.
Although forming our NAACP chapter in Garrett County was a daunting task, Pastor Scott took on the challenge and inspired many of us to start, join, and lead a local chapter.
Our branch is part of Pastor Scott’s legacy. His family has asked to honor his memory with volunteer time, services, and/or resources for St. Mark’s or GCNAACP.
