THE CLEAN-UP PROJECT: Play Screening and Cast Q&A

GCNAACP is honored to present a special screening + cast Q&A on February 27, 2022 (Garrett College).

On February 27, 2022, GCNAACP is honored to present THE CLEAN-UP PROJECT by Carleton Bluford and Plan-B Theatre (including Garrett County’s own Matt Sincell).

Jordan & Melvin (a Black couple) and their friends Ryan & Taylor (a white couple) are forced to navigate a near-future America where white people are at risk. Black History Month like you’ve never seen it. THE CLEAN-UP PROJECT takes a deep & dark look into the complicated issues of inequity and white privilege.

Founded in 1991, Plan-B Theatre develops and produces unique and socially conscious theatre created by Utah playwrights. We are anti-racist and anti-racism and are the only professional arts organization in Utah history led by a person of color. Carleton Bluford’s THE CLEAN-UP PROJECT opens the first series in Utah history fully comprised of works by people of color. His play MAMA, which premiered at Plan-B in 2015, was the first world premiere in Utah history by a Black playwright.
