On Sept. 7, 1960, Nadine and her sister made history as two of seven Black students that integrated schools in Roanoke, Virginia.
GCNAACP is honored to host an exclusive presentation by Nadine. Along with sharing her personal journey of integration, her son Nathaniel will discuss the legacy of his grandfather, Rev. R.R. Wilkinson. He was not only instrumental in integration but was also President of the Roanoke NAACP Chapter for nearly a decade during the civil rights movement.
